Responsibilities
* Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and leadership team on people‑related strategies that drive operational efficiency, growth and transformation.
* Oversee HR operations for approximately 570 employees across the UK and Ireland.
* Develop and execute a people strategy aligned with the business vision, strategy and objectives to deepen a high‑performance culture.
* Steward organisational design to enable effective decision‑making, focus on core priorities and ensure agility, scalability and alignment with strategic goals.
* Partner with senior leaders to design effective organisational structures.
* Build a culture centred on collaboration, performance and continuous development.
* Lead all core HR activities across the employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition, employee relations, engagement, performance management, capability development and payroll.
* Ensure HR policies and procedures are up‑to‑date, legally compliant and consistently applied across the company.
* Monitor and report on key HR metrics such as headcount, turnover, absence and employee engagement.
* Ensure full compliance with UK employment law, right‑to‑work requirements, GDPR and health & safety regulations.
* Standardise policies, contracts and HR processes across all brands.
* Improve hiring quality and consistency across all divisions.
* Develop onboarding, training and leadership development frameworks.
* Drive retention through enhanced communication, clarity and engagement initiatives.
* Create and manage performance review cycles and progression pathways.
* Assess and benchmark salary, benefits and bonus structures across the group.
* Support succession planning and leadership capability development.
Qualifications & Skills
* 8‑10 years demonstrable HR leadership experience.
* Professional certifications such as CIPD.
* Previous experience within a similar sector or environment is ideal.
* Strong understanding of UK and Ireland employment law.
* In‑depth knowledge of compensation structures, organisational design and HR compliance.
* Demonstrable ability to lead HR strategy while effectively managing day‑to‑day operations.
* Ability to work under pressure while balancing the needs of the organisation and the people agenda.
* Positive attitude towards developing policies, processes and procedures.
* Analytical and problem‑solving skills, including conflict resolution and mediation.
* Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills, able to operate at both strategic and tactical levels.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to lead by example.
* Relationship‑building skills (internal and external).
* Empathetic approach.
* High attention to detail and strong organisational skills; ability to multi‑task.
* Strong IT skills: proficiency in Microsoft Excel (essential) and SAP (essential).
* Excellent computer skills (MS Office, SAP) and numeracy skills.
* Self‑motivated.
