Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Pub Manager to oversee daily operations of our lively pub. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. Duties
* Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the pub, including food preparation, serving, and bar operations
* Lead and motivate a team of staff, ensuring high levels of customer service and team cohesion
* Oversee food safety standards, ensuring compliance with health regulations and proper food handling procedures
* Manage stock levels, order supplies, and ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and bar areas
* Plan menus in collaboration with chefs or kitchen staff, focusing on quality and customer preferences
* Handle customer enquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and promote a welcoming atmosphere
* Organise staff rotas, training sessions, and performance reviews to optimise team efficiency
* Maintain accurate records of sales, expenses, and inventory for reporting purposes
Skills
* Proven supervising experience within a hospitality or restaurant environment
* Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage teams effectively
* Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
* Experience in restaurant or hotel settings with familiarity in food production and kitchen operations
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
* Good communication skills to liaise with staff and customers confidently
* Knowledge of hospitality management systems is desirable
* Previous experience in serving or barista roles is advantageous but not essential
