Job Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Cost Manager to join our Cost and Commercial Management team and play a key part in ensuring the delivery across major Corporate Occupier projects ranging into the £millions. This is a strategic role within the Commercial Management Office (CMO) where you will act as a trusted advisor, embedded within the client team. You will play a key role in shaping project outcomes from the earliest stages, ensuring successful delivery across major projects and programmes. Responsibilities for the role include: To deliver Cost and Commercial Management Services, taking responsibility for end-to-end service delivery, relating to large, complex and mega projects. Advise at a strategic level at the project conception stage, including providing advice on the different approaches that can be adopted in order to successfully achieve the client’s overall objectives. Lead the establishment of the overall success criteria for the project, including time, cost, technical and performance parameters. Benchmarking and cost intelligence with adoption and embedment of digital tools and systems to drive commercial efficiency Plan for and the ongoing management of quality, safety, health and environment issues. Establish effective project governance, processes and systems to be utilised throughout project. Advise upon the procurement of resources. Lead and facilitate the overall cross-functional project team. Monitor and apply performance management techniques, including the use of KPI’s to improve project performance. Manage change control processes as required. Monitor and advise upon project finances. Manage the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications. To act as the key, day to day client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met, and these projects are delivered within time and cost targets and to the appropriate quality standards. Services provided may range from being advisory in nature, to detailed project reporting. SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable. Understand risk management principles & methodologies and where they apply with their projects and programmes. Ensure compliance with all corporate governance, business system, quality and risk management obligations Provide well managed, timely and informed contribution to the annual budget setting process. Achieve strategic initiative outcomes, as assigned by the Business Unit Director. Ensure all essential project, financial and business data is kept up to date and secure.
