What will you be doing?
Reporting directly to the Senior Commercial Manager, the Commercial Manager is responsible for the day-to-day commercial management of assigned contracts.
This role involves managing the commercial aspects of contracts such as the Network Rail Structure Examination Contracts for various regions, the National Highways Structure Inspection Contracts, and other major contracts.
You will:
1. Ensure all commercial and operational cost control processes are followed, accurately record revenue and costs, and ensure timely and correct billing.
2. Manage commercial processes for assigned contracts, including applications for payment, invoices, purchase orders, and project value monitoring, in accordance with delegated authority levels.
3. Engage with operational teams to review and optimize cost management processes.
4. Build strong relationships with Group Procurement, Group Pricing, internal estimating teams, suppliers, and clients.

To join our team, you will need
* Level 4/5 qualification in Finance, Quantity Surveying, or Commercial Management (or equivalent)
* At least 5 years in a Commercial Management role
* Experience managing commercial contracts with a minimum of £1m responsibility
* Knowledge of NR4 and NR3 contracts and at least 5+ years of relevant rail experience
* Working knowledge of NEC3/4 contracts
* Experience managing applications for payment, client works instructions, and change control
* Experience managing supply chain instructions and performance
