Customer Service Engineer Role
To support the national and international customer field services operation, assisting the user base and providing a revenue stream for the business while ensuring adherence to the Company's stringent quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
* Provision and participation of high quality first line responsive support to Energist distributors and customers globally to minimise system down time via the service inbox, F2F, telephone & email aiming to provide acknowledgement within 24 hours (during normal working hours) and"out of hours" cover.
* Administer and provide high quality servicing, repair and refurbishment of customer product in an efficient response to minimise system down time.
* Assist delivery and installation of new systems, demos and customer returns (RMA's)
* Preparing and maintaining service manuals
* Provide service bulletins where and when appropriate uploaded onto the Dash Portal.
* Refurbish and upgrade parts as appropriate to maintain useable stock levels for service operations.
* Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with the Company's Quality Management System; contributing to the development of the QMS.
* Contributing to the Company's continuous improvement programme.
* Provide general assistance and support to other parts of the business as required.
* Ensure Health & Safety standards are upheld within the department and in general.
Experience
* Experience of fault-finding and carrying out repairs on electronic and precision electro-mechanical products;
* Self-reliant, uses initiative; accustomed to travelling unaccompanied (mainly in the UK, but also overseas);
* Experience of working within the medical device industry is desirable;
* Excellent customer-facing skills, must be a good ambassador for the company;
* Flexible. This job involves travelling and overnight stays. Prepared to give phone support to customers in evenings and at weekends which compensated and be part of a rota;
* Basic knowledge of schematics;
* Good interpersonal and communication skills;
* Self-motivated, organised, methodical, good planner;
* Good IT skills (MS Office), use of embedded systems.
