Clothing Banks Project Coordinator
Job Type: Part-time
Hours: 5 days per week, 9am – 3pm

Our client is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Clothing Banks Project Coordinator to oversee the operation and growth of their clothing bank network. This vital role will be instrumental in diverting textiles from landfill, supporting their charitable initiatives, and providing valuable resources to those in need within the community.

As the Clothing Banks Project Coordinator, you will be instrumental in identifying and securing new, suitable locations for their banks, as well as maintaining strong relationships with existing site hosts and partners. You will also responsible for the day-to-day management of their clothing bank sites, ensuring their efficient operation, and maximizing the collection of textile donations.

The successful candidate will be a key player in ensuring the smooth operation of their clothing bank scheme, contributing directly to their mission by increasing donations and making it easier for the public to support our work.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Research and identify potential new locations for clothing banks, such as market car parks, community centres, and retail parks, within the designated operational area.
2. This role involves huge amount of telemarketing calls and emails.
3. Initiate contact with site owners and management to propose the placement of clothing banks, negotiate agreements, and secure necessary permissions.
4. Oversee the practical aspects of the clothing bank sites, including coordinating installation, monitoring usage, and arranging collections in liaison with logistics teams.
5. Build and maintain positive relationships with site managers, addressing any queries or issues promptly and professionally.
6. Respond to and resolve any operational issues related to the clothing banks or their locations.
7. Maintain records of clothing bank locations, performance data, and communication logs.
8. Ensure all clothing bank locations comply with relevant local regulations and site-specific requirements.
9. Provide input into the strategic development of the clothing bank project, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.

Required Skills and Experience:

10. Proven ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
11. Experience in negotiation or sales would be beneficial.
12. Strong organisational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
13. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
14. Ability to work independently and take initiative.
15. Proficiency in basic office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook).
16. A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle are essential for this role as it involves travel to various sites.
