In this role, you'll work closely with apprentices on a 1-to-1 basis, coaching, mentoring, and supporting them. You'll assess their practical competence, help them build their portfolios, and guide them to successfully completing their apprenticeship. You'll have the autonomy to manage your own diary, plan site visits, and work closely with employers to ensure each learner gets the right on-the-job experience and support.
Full training and structured onboarding are provided to help you step confidently into the role.
The ideal candidate will have a background as an Engineering Fitter within manufacturing, engineering services, heavy industry, or production environments. You'll be passionate about helping others, with a practical, hands-on mindset. Teaching/assessing experience is not required.

The Role:
Coach and assess apprentices in Engineering Fitting/Mechanical Assembly/Maintenance Support.
Coach, mentor, support and develop apprentices on a 1-to-1 basis
Combination of working from home, office and on-site
Plan and conduct workplace reviews and practical skills assessments.
Help apprentices to complete portfolios
Build strong relationships with employers to support on-the-job development.
The Person:
Time-served Engineering Fitter (apprenticeship-trained ideally).
Strong hands-on engineering fitting experience (mechanical assembly, maintenance, alignment, hydraulics/pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings etc.)
Excellent communicator with a mentoring mindset.
Full UK Driving Licence
Teaching/assessing quals not required, full training provided.
