What we’re looking for
We’re seeking an experienced client/account manager with a proven track record of delivering success, emphasizing retention and upselling. We promote a culture of work-life balance, encouraging staff not to work late, take time back in lieu if needed, and participate in a 9-day fortnight work pattern.
Responsibilities of the role include:
1. Building client relationships: You must be obsessed with your clients and their businesses, understanding details from financial calendars to internal org structures, and celebrating milestones like birthdays and anniversaries.
2. Understanding success: Know what success looks like for your clients and communicate this effectively to your SEO strategist to deliver great results for retention and upselling.
3. Leading delivery teams: Coordinate all delivery teams to ensure they align with client needs, taking ultimate responsibility for client satisfaction and retention.
4. Managing commercials: Keep track of contract renewal dates, create campaigns to demonstrate value, and work with SEO strategists on upsell opportunities.
5. Project management: Prioritize workloads based on client importance, manage expectations, and ensure projects stay within scope.
6. Leading direct reports: Lead client executives, support their professional development, and foster a positive team environment focused on wellbeing and growth.
Company structure
Our client/account managers work within a cohesive team structure alongside project managers and SEO strategists, focusing on client retention, effective work delivery, and result achievement.
Requirements
* Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record of growing accounts
* At least 3 years of experience as a client/account manager in a digital marketing or SEO agency
* Experience with project management tools (preferably Asana)
* SEO or digital marketing experience
* Experience managing a team
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Calm under pressure with the ability to juggle multiple clients and deadlines
