Join us in making a positive impact on the environment and our communities, while being valued and supported in a truly inclusive workplace.
Let’s tell you more
We’re on the lookout for a Senior SAP Integration Engineer to join our dynamic Shared Services team. This team is at the heart of our integration platforms, including SAP BTP, which underpins the connectivity of our core business systems. With major transformation projects underway—such as our migration to the Kraken customer platform and the shift from SAP ECC to S/4HANA—this is a pivotal time to join us and make a real impact.
In this role, you’ll lead the design, development, and deployment of integration solutions across SAP PI, CPI, AEM, APIM CIG, and NetWeaver Gateway. You’ll collaborate closely with architectural, functional, and Basis teams to ensure seamless integration across SAP modules and third‑party systems. From producing high‑level design documents to supporting the transition of projects into BAU, you’ll be instrumental in driving technical excellence and ensuring our integration landscape is robust, scalable, and future‑ready.
Beyond project delivery, you’ll provide 2nd and 3rd line support, manage service requests, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. You’ll also play a key role in supplier governance, lifecycle management, and roadmap alignment—ensuring our platforms remain secure, supported, and strategically aligned.
You’ll be based at our Severn Trent Centre Head Office in Coventry. You’ll work within the SAP Apps team of around a dozen people all working on similar projects and pulling in the same direction. With this being such a critical role, we’re looking for someone who can join us 37 hours a week, working Monday to Friday.
How we work
You’ll join a caring culture that collaborates to achieve, grow, and develop. Our employee engagement scores are among the highest globally in energy and utilities. That’s why we value in‑person moments to keep our culture alive, while also supporting flexibility to work from home when needed.
What we’re looking for
We’re on the lookout for someone who loves working as part of a team and enjoys bouncing ideas around to solve real business challenges. If you’re a clear communicator—whether written or verbal—and comfortable working closely with client teams, you’ll fit right in.
What you’ll bring
* Hands‑on experience in SAP PO, NetWeaver Gateway, CPI, AEM, and APIM development
* Solid experience with SAP PI 7.3 or above, including both dual and single stack environments
* Familiarity with N+1 landscape setups and a good understanding of SLD and PI architecture
* Experience using CTS+ and BTP Transport Management (TMS)
* Strong working knowledge of standard PI adapters such as IDOC_AAE, HTTP_AAE, RFC, REST, SOAP, FILE, JMS, and JDBC
* Comfortable writing CPI Groovy scripts and using User Defined Functions (UDFs) and Function Libraries
* Proven experience integrating SAP ECC with other SAP systems (e.g., SRM) and non‑SAP systems using BAPI, IDOC, Web Services, ABAP Proxy, XML, and various PI adapters
Skills and experience are important, but character, positivity, and a caring attitude matter too. We welcome people from all walks of life and celebrate individuality. We seek people who get involved, want to be part of something bigger, and make a difference because they care.
