The role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a Mental Health Social Work Team in the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham. We are looking to recruit Mental Health Social Workers with a range of experience in a Mental Health Team or as a qualified AMHP.
We are transforming the way we deliver mental health services within the borough. This is an opportunity to bring your ideas as well as your experience to a dynamic social work team. We are looking for enthusiastic social workers who can assess the social care needs of service users and their carers under the Care Act, to provide direct social work intervention to some of the most complex service users within the borough.
Our vision within integrated health and social care is focussed on implementing new ways of working in personalisation and a strength-based approach to enable individuals to live as independently as possible to make informed choices and control over their lives and the care that they receive. This will require applicants to be able to confidently assess and implement the management of risk in partnership with other agencies.
We have a robust framework of supervision for social workers that ensures professional development wherever you are in your career. We provide an excellent post-qualifying training programme for those who are completing their assessed and supported year in employment, including a supportive structure for AMHP training. Qualified AMHPs will be joining a well-established centralised AMHP service.
