Senior Scrub Nurse – Cosmetic Surgery

Salary: £48,000-£55,000 (depending on experience)
Stonor Medical is recruiting an experienced Senior Scrub Nurse with a strong cosmetic and plastics background to join a leading national cosmetic surgery clinic group at their brand-new Manchester clinic.
This role is ideal for a Scrub Nurse with proven experience in minor ops, operating theatre safety, clinical governance, and team leadership, who is ready to progress into a Theatre Lead or Clinical Lead position. You’ll be joining a growing clinic with a strong emphasis on quality, safety, and professional development.
The Role
As Senior Scrub Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering excellent surgical outcomes while supporting the clinic’s clinical governance framework and maintaining full compliance with CQC standards, infection control policies, and patient safety protocols.
The clinic provides a range of cosmetic and plastic surgery procedures, including:
* VASER Liposuction
* Cosmetic Surgery
* Minor Skin Surgery
Key Responsibilities
* Provide expert scrub support in a plastic surgery theatre environment
* Act as a clinical role model, promoting best practice in theatre safety, infection prevention, and patient care
* Support the implementation and monitoring of clinical governance, CQC compliance, and audit processes
* Assist surgeons during procedures, ensuring patient safety and high clinical standards at all times
* Prepare, maintain, and check theatre equipment and instruments in line with governance and safety requirements
* Work closely with surgeons and the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient theatre operations
* Support, mentor, and lead theatre and nursing staff, contributing to staff development and performance
* Act as a deputy or stepping-stone Theatre / Clinical Lead, supporting service development and continuous improvement
About You
* Registered Nurse with significant plastics/cosmetic scrub experience
* Strong knowledge of operating theatre safety, infection control, risk management, and clinical governance
* Experience supporting audits, policies, or quality improvement initiatives
* Confident leader, ready to progress into a formal Theatre Lead or Clinical Lead role
* Patient-focused, detail-oriented, and committed to clinical excellence
