Appalachian Mountain Health (AMH), a Federally Qualified Health Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated part-time physician to join our healthcare team. Key Responsibilities
* Patient Care: Provide comprehensive medical evaluations, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care for patients in [specialty, e.g., family medicine, pediatrics, etc.].
* Examinations: Perform physical exams, review medical history, and order/interpret diagnostic tests.
* Medical Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with legal and organizational standards.
* Collaboration: Work closely with nursing staff, other physicians, and healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
* Patient Education: Advise and educate patients on wellness, prevention, treatment options, and follow-up care.
* Prescriptions & Treatments: Prescribe medications and therapies as appropriate, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up care.
* Continuing Education: Stay current with medical advancements, best practices, and medical regulations through professional development and training.
Qualifications
* Education: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree from an accredited medical school.
* Licensure: Valid medical license in North Carolina.
* Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a clinical setting preferred.
Skills & Competencies
* Strong diagnostic skills and clinical judgment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.
Work Schedule
Flexible part-time hours, minimum 2 days per week.
