As a Test Technician, you will play a crucial role in delivering the Green Energy transition. The ideal candidate will carry out testing of HVDC & FACTS Products in line with project deliverables and provide support to Test engineers and Manufacturing Manager as required.
The successful candidate will have a good level of general education and communication skills and previous experience working in a HV test environment. An enquiring mind and desire to learn new skills are essential qualities for this position.
Responsibilities:
* Production routine testing of all HVDC & FACTS products
* Diagnostic down to component level for test failures
* Perform routine VAV process
* Support Maintenance, Calibration and Servicing of test equipment
* Support in test equipment upgrades and product changeovers
* Maintain daily safety checks and applicable documentation
* Comply with GE safety requirements
* Carry out duties as a PIC – Person in charge
Skills and Experience Preferred:
* EHS compliance and safe working practices
* Ability to deliver results, address and resolve technical issues
* Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing Test environment and knowledge of automated Manufacturing test equipment
* Technical Electrical qualification
* Knowledge of running test equipment up to 10KV or 2000A @ low voltage
* Knowledge of HVDC product testing would be advantageous
* Interaction with others and good at sharing knowledge
