Strategy Education are seeking a passionate and resilient PE Teacher to join an SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) Alternative Provision in Southend-on-Sea. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by promoting physical development, health, and wellbeing, while adapting lessons to meet diverse individual needs.
The school aims to support all students with their specific needs and barriers to learning to enable them to reach their full potential both academically and in terms of managing their behaviour. This is achieved by providing high quality teaching and learning and by using assessment, engagement and developing educational programmes. The Academy works actively with students and their parents/carers to ensure positive outcomes for all.

About the Role
* Deliver engaging and practical PE lessons tailored to students with SEMH needs.
* Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that promotes both physical and emotional wellbeing.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for learners.
* Be a positive role model who inspires students to achieve their potential, both in and outside of sport.
What We’re Looking For
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable but applications are welcomed from unqualified teachers with relevant experience.
* Experience of working with young people with SEMH needs or in an alternative provision is highly valued.
* Creativity, patience, and enthusiasm for inclusive sport and physical activity.
* A commitment to safeguarding, equality, and enabling every young person to achieve their full potential.
