Managament Accountant - Exeter - Temporary 1 to 3 months - £38k-£42k FTE
Management Accountant opportunity offering the chance to join a well established Exeter based organisation on a short term contract during a busy period. This Management Accountant role is available for an immediate start and would suit an experienced finance professional who can quickly integrate into a fast paced finance team.
Trial Balance Consulting are pleased to be recruiting a Temporary Management Accountant for an organisation in Exeter. This Management Accountant position is expected to last between 1 and 3 months and has been created to provide support during a period of absence within the finance team.
This is a hands on Management Accountant role requiring someone comfortable operating across a broad range of management accounting activities while working closely with senior finance stakeholders.
Responsibilities
* Preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting financial reporting
* Producing detailed variance analysis and commentary
* Completing balance sheet reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
* Supporting capital accounting and fixed asset processes
* Assisting with cashflow forecasting and financial planning activities
* Supporting month end close activities and reporting deadlines
* Providing wider finance support during a busy operational period
Qualifications / Requirements
* We are seeking a Management Accountant with previous experience producing management accounts within a busy finance environment.
* Strong Excel and reconciliation skills will be essential, alongside the ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
* The successful Management Accountant will be proactive, adaptable, and able to quickly get up to speed within an established finance function.
* This Management Accountant role will be office based initially, with the potential for limited hybrid working once settled into the position.
* This opportunity would also be suitable for candidates currently working as Finance Managers, Assistant Management Accountants, Financial Accountants, Company Accountants, or commercially focused finance professionals with strong management accounting experience.
