Senior Microsoft Solutions Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Microsoft Solutions Engineer to join the Microsoft Services team. The role focuses on delivering high-quality Microsoft solutions, technical services, and support to diverse customers. The engineer will handle third-line ticket support, process documentation, and project support for the expanding Microsoft Projects team. This position is based at our Hemel Hempstead offices within the Academia Technology Group.
Note: The successful candidate will need to complete a satisfactory DBS check.
Responsibilities
* Design, implement, document, and train on Microsoft solutions architecture
* Provide Tier 3 support for Windows Server 2016+ (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, RDS, High Availability)
* Support Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, PowerShell Online, Directory Sync, Identity Management)
* Manage devices with Intune across Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, and iPadOS
* Create software packages for various applications
* Assist with deploying new Microsoft features
* Manage endpoint protection and Windows OS updates across tenants
* Support and train Tier 1/2 Engineers, act as escalation point for Service Desk
* Provide Tier 3 support for Windows 10/11, including troubleshooting and client software support
* Troubleshoot network issues (TCP/IPv4, DHCP, DNS)
* Administer VMWare vSphere (v7+)
* Respond to infrastructure alerts impacting business as usual activities
* Implement and practice security best practices
* Document processes and projects for audiences with varying technical skills

Preferred Qualifications
* Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or higher
* Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or higher
* MCSA / MCSE or equivalent
* VMware VCP certification
* Experience with other operating systems (iOS, Android, Linux)
