We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Community Mental Health Practitioner to work with individuals with complex emotional needs based in clinic or community venues within Lichfield and Burntwood. You will be working within the Integrated Mental Health Team (IMHT) and the Intensive Life Skills (ILS) Pathway to provide assessment and intervention for adults 17+ experiencing complex emotional difficulties as part of the Adult Mental Health Service.
Main Duties
* Undertake holistic comprehensive assessments and formulation of complex clinical presentations, including risk assessments and risk management.
* Deliver group based and individual interventions in line with the pathway model and utilising Structured Clinical Management (SCM). You will be named worker for a caseload of service users.
* Provide clinical supervision to other health professionals working within the Integrated Community Mental Health Services and other areas of the Trust where identified as appropriate.
* Participate in both delivering and receiving a range of clinical supervision and professional and clinical development within the pathway.
Person Specification
* Qualifications And Training
* A recorded/registered qualification in Community Mental Health Nursing (CMHN), Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Psychological Therapy.
* Post-qualification experience such as formal courses and training relevant to people with complex mental health needs related to emotional instability.
* Essential criteria
* Experience of working with a client group who present with difficulties relating to emotional dysregulation, high risk challenging and chaotic behaviour, highly complex needs relating to trauma.
* Experience of working with people who have difficulty in engaging with services.
* Experience of working with people engaging in high risk behaviours and self harm.
* Desirable criteria
* Experience of working within a structured therapeutic model individually and in group settings.
* Experience of facilitating psycho-educational and/or skills based groups.
* Experience of working with people who have difficulty in engaging with services.
