Overview:
Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher for a full-time position at an Ofsted Good, diverse secondary school in Levenshulme. This role is set to commence in September and will cover the entire academic year, with the potential for the role to become permanent based on performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Curriculum Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective science lessons that align with the national curriculum, catering to the diverse learning needs of students.
* Assessment and Evaluation: Regularly assess and monitor students' progress through a variety of assessment methods, providing timely and constructive feedback to support their academic development.
* Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, ensuring all students are actively engaged and adhering to the school's behavioral expectations.
* Resource Development: Create and utilize a range of teaching resources, including experiments, multimedia tools, and collaborative activities, to enhance the learning experience and stimulate students' interest in science.
* Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities, staying current with advancements in science education and pedagogical best practices.
* Extracurricular Involvement: Contribute to the school community by participating in science-related extracurricular activities, clubs, or events, fostering a deeper interest in the subject among students.
Ideal Candidate:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification with a specialization in science.
* Proven experience in teaching science at the secondary school level, with a strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment standards.
* Passion for science education and a commitment to inspiring students through innovative and engaging teaching methods.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse and dynamic classroom environment.
* Dedication to continuous professional growth and a willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
