Connect Driver Solutions is recruiting a Yard Operative to join an established waste management business based in Dunbar. Our client operates a busy tyre processing and distribution yard, requiring a reliable and physically fit Yard Operative to support their day-to-day operations. Ongoing temporary position Monday to Friday, 10am to 6pm (flexibility required) £12.71 per hour, paid weekly Full training provided Primarily outdoor work - all weather conditions As a Yard Operative, your duties will include: Safely unloading truck tyres from incoming commercial vehicles and trailers Sorting and categorising tyres by type, size and condition Loading sorted tyres onto HGV box trailers safely and in compliance with transport regulations Keeping the yard clean, organised and free of hazards at all times Supporting wider yard operations as required throughout the shift The ideal Yard Operative will have: A good level of physical fitness and stamina - heavy manual handling is a key part of this role A strong understanding of manual handling techniques and yard safety A valid FLT licence (beneficial but not essential)
