Job Title: Sales Administrator (Maternity Cover*)

Overview: MRTC (Midlands Radiotelephone Centre) specialises in high-quality, customised radio and intercom communication solutions for the motorsport and event industries. With over 40 years of experience, the company works with numerous international race series, including Formula 1, Formula E, Le Mans, WEC, and MotoGP. Known for its bespoke communication systems, MRTC combines Kenwood, Motorola, and Clear-Com technology with in-house expertise to meet the specific needs of teams and organisers worldwide.



Job Description: The Sales Administrator plays a crucial role in MRTC’s customer-facing operations, working closely with customers and colleagues to process accurate and timely orders for the hire and sale of radio communications equipment. By building customer relations and proactively following up quotations, this role ensures that MRTC remains at the forefront of the communications industry.



Role Expectation: The Sales Administrator is responsible for responding to enquiries, gathering relevant customer information, preparing quotations, and generating accurate contracts and sales orders to support the smooth delivery of MRTC services within the motorsport industry. As part of MRTC’s Sales Department, based at Stanford House, the role requires efficiency and adaptability, utilising a specialist order‑quoting and processing system.



Responsibilities:

* Liaising with customers and producing hire, sales, and repair quotations.
* Processing orders and raising contracts accordingly.
* Proactively following up quotations with customers via email and phone.
* Ensuring accurate and timely updates of quotation status within the sales pipeline.
* Maintaining records and informing internal departments of any relevant changes.
* Filing and organising company documentation.
* Carrying out additional administrative tasks, where required.



Essential Skills:

* Proficiency in sales administration, order processing, and customer support.
* Experience with ERP, CRM, or sales order processing systems.
* Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
* Ability to learn and adopt new processes quickly and efficiently.
* Exceptional attention to detail.
* Excellent written communication skills.
* Confident telephone manner.
* Strong teamwork skills.
* Adaptability and composure under pressure.

· Experience with Klipboard (formerly InspHire) ERP.
