Job Description
Working on behalf of our client based in the North West, we are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanical Machine Mover. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe dismantling, moving, installation, and positioning of industrial machinery and mechanical equipment at client sites.
This role involves working on a variety of projects across multiple sectors, including manufacturing, construction, energy, and engineering facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Load, transport, offload, and position heavy machinery using appropriate lifting equipment
* Dismantle and reassemble mechanical equipment as required
* Work with cranes, forklifts, skates, hoists, and rigging equipment
* Interpret technical drawings, plans, and load assessments
* Ensure health and safety standards are followed at all times
* Liaise with project managers and client site contacts to ensure efficient delivery
* Maintain tools, lifting equipment, and service logs
Requirements:
1. Previous experience in machinery moving or mechanical installation
2. Strong mechanical understanding and practical skills
3. Valid driving licence (HGV preferred but not essential)
4. Forklift/crane/rigging certifications (preferred)
5. Ability to work as part of a team or independently
