Job Description:
Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking passionate Support Workers to join our team in Westcliff-on-Sea. We offer full-time, part-time, and Waking night roles. Please see below for available hours.
As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will work with a diverse group, each with unique abilities and needs.
You will assist with daily activities and provide emotional support, playing a vital role in their lives.
Our Westcliff service supports individuals with profound and multiple learning disabilities and other complex healthcare needs. You will be expected to provide outstanding support that contributes to their comfort, dignity, and happiness.
What we're looking for:
* A genuine passion for supporting others.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
Contract options:
* Full-time: 37.5 hrs
* Part-time: flexible hours based on availability, including 18 hours a week, working 9am to 3pm over three days. This role requires the ability and willingness to drive a minibus.
Shift times:
All services are 24-hour care. Rotas are prepared at least 4 weeks in advance.
* Days: 07:00-22:00
* Waking Night: 21:00-07:00 (Sunday only)
Additional roles:
* Waking Night - Sunday night only
* Relief: Flexible working with no set hours/shifts
