The Role

As part of a long‑term commitment to establishing onshore mRNA vaccine manufacturing in the UK, a cutting‑edge research, development, and production facility is being built at Harwell. This initiative will support respiratory vaccine manufacturing, create highly skilled roles, and strengthen partnerships with academic institutions, the NHS, and government bodies.
We are looking for motivated, detail‑driven individuals to support 24/7 manufacturing operations, focusing on end‑to‑end warehouse and logistics processes. This Fixed‑Term Contract role is essential to maintaining compliant, efficient material flow for real‑time mRNA production.
You will also gain hands‑on experience with SAP, Quality Management Systems (QMS), and digital workflows—developing foundational skills relevant to automation and future AI‑enabled operations.
Key Responsibilities
Core Duties
* Receive and process inbound deliveries, verify documentation, and resolve discrepancies by obtaining missing or corrected paperwork.
* Upload delivery and quality documents into the organisation’s QMS to maintain full GMP compliance.
* Pick, verify, and stage materials required for mRNA manufacturing in line with production schedules.
* Apply internal standards for labelling, handling, storage, and inventory control within a GxP‑regulated environment.
* Coordinate timely internal material movements to support active manufacturing operations.
* Perform daily SAP transactions related to inventory movements and stock accuracy.
* Support outbound logistics, including shipment preparation and documentation.
* Conduct cycle counts and reconcile physical stock with SAP records.
* Identify, segregate, and manage expired or non‑conforming materials.
* Work closely with other logistics and operations teams to ensure seamless support.
* Complete all required training to meet compliance, quality, and safety expectations.
Qualifications
* 2+ years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations.
* Experience in a GMP/GDP‑regulated environment.
* Understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS).
* Background in a highly regulated sector, ideally pharmaceuticals or life sciences.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel); SAP and Smartsheet experience preferred.
* Ability to safely lift and move materials.
* Flexibility to meet operational needs.
