Castle Education is working closely with Primary schools across Scarborough through the Scarborough CCS framework. We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and adaptable Year 1 Supply Teachers to support schools with day-to-day cover.
This role is ideal for teachers looking for flexibility, regular local work, or a better work-life balance, without the pressure of planning and marking.
The role As a Year 1 Primary Supply Teacher, you will:
Deliver pre-planned lessons set by the school
Create a positive, engaging and structured classroom environment
Manage behaviour in line with school policies
Support pupils with their learning and development
Follow safeguarding procedures at all times
Provide brief handover feedback to school staff at the end of the dayYou can choose the days you work and accept bookings that fit your availability.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
Recent experience teaching in KS1, ideally Year 1
Confidence adapting quickly to new classrooms
A calm, professional and flexible approach
