We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Marketing Assistant to join our marketing department on a full-time basis at our Aberdeen HQ. The successful CANdidate will be an integral part of the marketing team, helping to execute and deliver high-quality and effective marketing support to the wider business.
As well as working within a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation, the successful candidate will have structured training within the marketing function as well as progression and career development opportunities.
This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday and includes providing reception duties daily from 8am-9am and 1pm-2pm, and Friday afternoon cover.
Overtime may be required as well as nationwide travel as part of the role.
Marketing Assistant – Key Duties
* Coordinate, develop and update internal and external marketing material (print and digital)
* Support content creation and proof-reading for various marketing channels
* Develop and update company presentations
* Support internal campaigns and employee communications
* Assist with the coordination of corporate client entertainment
* Assist with the planning and execution of staff events
* Assist with the coordination of corporate events, incl. conferences and exhibitions
* Coordinate company branded merchandise and stationery and maintaining stock levels
* Support and maintain the corporate Image Library
* Involvement in the use of CRM systems
* Conduct marketing intelligence gathering and competitor analysis
* Manage archiving duties for the marketing department
* Provide administrative support to the marketing team and additional administrative activities as required
General Duties
Provide assistance to the rest of the Business Services team including the below:
* Switchboard cover.
* Dealing with incoming/outgoing mail both by Royal Mail and courier and distributing as required.
* Ensuring that occupants within the premises are logged accordingly.
* Handling company visitors in all buildings.
* In the event of a fire Receptionist is responsible for the collection of registers for the taking of a roll call.
Candidates should possess the following:
* Understand the Marketing process from conception to realisation (essential)
* Marketing degree or equivalent qualification with relevant experience (essential)
* Experience / understanding of corporate digital media channels (preferred)
* English and Mathematics to National 4 / equivalent or higher (essential)
* NAT5 Administration would be advantageous
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook (essential)
* Experience in an Administrative role would be advantageous
* Experience of using databases (preferred)
* Experience in a customer facing role (preferred)
* Good numerical and analytical skills (essential)
* Good organisational and time management skills (essential)
