Job Opportunity: SEMH Tutor (Maths & English) – Banbury Area

Are you passionate about supporting young people with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs? We're looking for a dedicated and experienced SEMH Tutor to join our growing team, providing 1:1 or small group tuition in the Banbury area.
About the Role:
You will be working with students who require additional support in Maths and English due to challenges such as anxiety, low self-esteem, or confidence issues. Many learners may be outside of mainstream education or on alternative provision pathways.
As a tutor, you will:
* Work with primary or secondary-aged students (based on your experience and preferences)
* Provide tailored academic support in Maths and English, up to Key Stage 4 level
* Assess student needs, develop individual learning plans, and deliver bespoke schemes of work
* Build strong, trusting relationships to help re-engage learners with education
Requirements:
* Proven experience supporting students with SEMH needs
* Strong knowledge of the primary and/or secondary curriculum in Maths and English
* Ability to plan and deliver engaging, individualised lessons
* A nurturing, patient, and resilient approach
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
* Access to your own transport is desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
