As the new Community Engagement Lead for NT properties in the Carmarthenshire & Ceredigion area, youll ensure greater connection between our sites and young people - leading inclusively to share the nature, beauty and history of our sites with our communities.
Working 30 hours per week
What its like to work here
This is a role for someone who wants to help young people thrive, and youll help put their voice at the centre of everything you do. Youll work closely with your colleagues to ensure young people play a key role in defining outcomes, working to challenge barriers and enhance a culture where ‘ending unequal access’ is embedded.
You may be principally based at Dinefwr in Llandeilo or Llanerchaeron in Ceredigion.
Your work pattern will include one day per week with a later start and finish time, and some weekend commitment. If shortlisted we’d be happy to discuss these details with you.
What youll be doing
You’ll be establishing a new role, so you’ll need to be a confident self‑starter who can shape direction from the outset, while also line‑managing our current Volunteering & Community Officer. In this role, you’ll embed inclusive participation practices across properties, lead change through coaching and role‑modelling, and collaborate positively with colleagues to strengthen delivery. You’ll maintain and develop existing volunteer groups, establish new sustainable local relationships, and build relevant strategic partnerships and networks that increase public benefit and raise our profile. You’ll also explore new opportunities for wider engagement—particularly with young people—enhancing their experience, confidence and understanding of our places, and deepening their long‑term connection to them.
