Afrikindness is seeking an experienced UX/UI Designer to join our team. This role is critical in designing children/parent-friendly assets to support our mission of promoting inclusion, breaking cultural barriers and promoting kindness.

What are we looking for?
Responsibilities Execution of user research and usability tests to understand customer needs, pain points, and integrate feedback and preferences to education (children/parent) products and services, through collaboration with various stakeholders, including developers. Creation of intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for a seamless and engaging user experience. Design and maintenance of visually appealing and consistent user interfaces that align with the charity's brand identity and design guidelines across digital products. Creation of wireframes and interactive prototypes for visualisation and testing of product concepts and features before development. Accessibility considerations to ensure that designs comply with accessibility standards and guidelines to provide an inclusive experience for all users. Monitoring of industry trends, design best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve the design quality and innovation Commit to a minimum of 3 hours weekly, contributing to the design and success of Afrikindness's digital initiatives. Qualifications and Skills You have at least 3 solid years of digital design experience in an agency setting You thrive on solving complex UX problems and possess the strategic insight to deliver premier visual design solutions; You have a strong portfolio that demonstrates a solid understanding of user experience, visual design, and branding for digital products You have experience creating innovative design concepts for digital products and marketing websites; You are able to design wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and prototypes to visualize the entire experience based on the defined user flows; You can collaborate with developers to oversee the design implementation and ensure the quality of the end product Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills and ability to work remotely. Passionate about contributing to charitable causes and willing to volunteer time to support Afrikindness's mission.
