Are you looking for a challenging and exciting opportunity? Can you support the Governors, Headteacher and in continuing our drive for 'Excellence for all'? We are a friendly, caring and extremely well-resourced Junior School with high expectations for all of our pupils. You will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team, central to continuing to promote high standards through a creative and enjoyable curriculum.
You will:
1. Be a sensitive but honest point of contact for parents. The SLT and FLO do a gate duty each morning so you will need to build relationships with families, deal with questions, complaints and the odd compliment.
2. Be a strong, positive influencer for pupil ethos and behaviour.
3. Facilitate Year 6 to lead a weekly celebration worship and generally be ready to step in to lead worship in the absence of the HT.
4. Bring a wealth of experience in cultivating inclusive classrooms and effective teaching practices that nurture all learners.
5. Demonstrate confidence in assisting staff to differentiate and adapt their provision to meet diverse needs, fostering a supportive learning environment where everybody can thrive.
6. Show strong leadership in advocating for vulnerable groups.
7. Proactively support the effective deployment of additional adults to enhance pupil outcomes, ensuring every child receives the nurturing support they require.
8. Model our Christian values of Consideration, Courage and Community and encourage all stakeholders to do the same.
9. Complete annual paperwork for SEND and CiC pupils.
10. Possess in-depth knowledge of the new Kent SEND funding model and support strategic planning and implementation, ensuring resources are used effectively to nurture pupil success.
11. Hold the National Award for SEN Coordination (or be in the process of obtaining it).
12. Commit to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children in accordance with KCSIE 2025, creating a nurturing and secure environment for learning.
Visits are warmly welcomed; please contact Mrs Wendy Vinson, Bursar, to make an appointment. Only applications via Kent-Teach will be considered.
