The Role
We are seeking an experienced KS2 Classroom Assistant to join a supportive primary environment on a long‑term basis. You will work alongside teaching staff to deliver engaging learning experiences, promote pupil independence, and help maintain a calm, purposeful classroom atmosphere.
Classroom Assistant Key Responsibilities
Provide daily classroom support across Key Stage 2, including small‑group and 1:1 interventions.
Assist with the preparation and delivery of high‑quality learning activities.
Help create a positive, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment.
Support pupils’ wellbeing, engagement, and personal development.
Work collaboratively with teachers and wider staff to promote a consistent and supportive learning experience.
Contribute to daily routines, behaviour expectations, and classroom organisation.
Classroom Assistant Essential Requirements
Must have previous experience working in Key Stage 2
Ability to follow teacher direction while also working independently
Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
Committed, reliable, and enthusiastic about supporting children’s learning and development
Positive, professional approach with a genuine passion for education
