About the Role
As Scotland’s national mental health charity, SAMH has kept a pulse on the external factors affecting wellbeing in the workplace, including the ongoing cost-of-living crisis and the aftermath of the pandemic. While many businesses and organisations have met these pressures with an increased commitment to their employees’ mental health, embedding this commitment into an organisational strategy is nuanced and complex. In response to this cultural shift, SAMH has invested in a newly expanded Workplace & Corporate Engagement Team that is supporting the increasingly diverse needs of Scottish employers and workforce regarding mental health and wellbeing.
Our Workplace & Corporate Engagement Team cultivates transformational, mutually beneficial partnerships with Scottish businesses and organisations through four main functions:
•Development of workplace wellbeing products, services and resources
•Delivery of services via digital and face-to-face channels
•Engagement of organisations to invest in the mental health cause
•Account Management of clients and partners
The role of Workplace Engagement Specialist sits in our Engagement function and has a focus on business development, securing; corporate partnerships, significant new corporate financial support and large scale training contracts.
What we are looking for
The Workplace Engagement Specialist will play a key role in achieving our strategic ambition. We are looking for a candidate who has experience in fundraising/businesses development/sales who will be ambitious and determined in their approach to securing financial support for SAMH. We are looking for a candidate who is an excellent communicator and relationship builder. Ultimately, we are looking for someone who believes in our mission and will bring corporate support on board to help us realise our ambitions.
