About the Role
Established in 1990, Gill Opticians has proudly become Leigh’s leading independent optical practice, with a reputation for exceptional care, professional expertise, and a genuinely friendly atmosphere.
We’re now looking for an experienced Optical Assistant to join our team — someone who is passionate about delivering outstanding eyecare and confident in supporting patients throughout their journey with us.
What You’ll Do
Provide friendly, informative, and empathetic service to all patients
Assist with dispensing, frame selection, and front-of-house duties
Work as part of a close-knit team focused on high standards and personal service
Contribute ideas to help us continually improve and innovate
What We’re Looking For
Previous optical experience is essential
Excellent communication and people skills
A team player with a proactive attitude and a genuine interest in eyecare
Availability for 3–4 days per week, including Saturdays
