We are seeking a practical, self-motivated Housing Property Maintenance Officer to support the upkeep, safety, and compliance of our Councils temporary accommodation properties, with occasional work across the wider Council property portfolio.
The temporary accommodation sites are located in Witney, Chipping Norton, and North Leigh. The successful post holder will be provided with a company van, tools, and equipment.
This is a varied and hands-on role combining routine compliance checks, reactive maintenance, and planned works. You will travel between properties, working independently while remaining supported bythe other members of the Assetsteam to ensure all propertiesare safe, functional, and well maintained.
Carry out general maintenance tasks across properties, including basic carpentry, plumbing, and repairs
Deliver both planned and reactive maintenance work within set timeframes
Conduct compliance checks, including water hygiene monitoring and portable appliance testing (PAT)
Maintain properties and surrounding areas, including cleanliness, grounds upkeep, and safety
Prioritise workload effectively, responding to urgent maintenance needs
Communicate professionally with tenants, residents, colleagues, and contractors
A minimum of 5 qualifications equivalent to NVQ level 2 or GCSE at Grade C/4 or above, must include Maths and English
Part time hours will be considered.
