Job summary
Key Responsibilities – Back Office
1. The processing of deal tickets, confirmations and associated payments
2. Processing of Treasury instruments in the Bank’s core system, Calypso. These transactions include Money Market loans and deposits and Foreign Exchange, spot and forward, Certificates of Deposit, issued, bought and sold, Interest Rate Swap and Overnight Index Swaps.
3. Processing of ALM trades into the Bank’s core system, Calypso. These instruments include Floating Rate and Structured EMTN, Interest Rate and Currency Swaps, loans to Group subsidiaries.
4. Processing of CA Home Loans and CA Public Sector (Covered Bonds entities) instruments Calypso. These instruments include Fixed and Floating Rate EMTN, USMTN, Samurai bonds, Interest Rate and Currency Swaps, loans to Credit Agricole SA Paris.
5. Support Front Office with documentation of intragroup deals
6. Checking of counterpart’s confirmations, whether in Swift format or paper form and investigating any discrepancies, deal with CTM confirmations
7. Monitoring all payments and receipt advices to be sent via the Swift system, ensuring cut-off times are respected and monitoring receipt of funds.
8. Preparing Certificate of Deposit instructions to the Banks issuers and monitoring the matching of instructions and settlement.
9. Reconciliation and payment of brokers invoices.
10. Management of the corporate action on Euroclear Connect
11. Monthly Reporting of the outstanding position the French Central Bank
Funding requirement management
12. The calculation of the ALM Desk funding requirement, input the related trades into BLOFI
13. Cash management of the Branch Nostro and internal accounts
The reconciliation of the Bank’s Nostro accounts
14. Checking payments and receipts recorded in the Bank’s ledgers against the entries provided by the Bank’s correspondents via Swift Statement messages.

Key Responsibilities – Middle Office duties
16. Production of reconciliation report
17. Take the ownership of the reconciliation of the Front to Back office system, Production of Flow/ Stock management reports, regulatory reports such as MIFIR
18. Monitor and prepare reports checking the eligibility of Micro hedging strategies to the Short Cut Method, for the purpose of assisting the Accounting area in the production of IFRS returns
19. Updating of departmental and branch databases
20. Update and maintain the Strategies/Bundles database
21. Evaluate, control and apply validated Mark to Market figures received from CACIB MAM to the Calypso system, Justify the P and L, monitor and report PNB
22. Process simulations with Front Office Pricer
23. Support Front Office in monitoring and reporting of new issues’ order books (ECB, rating agencies, internal committee’s reporting).
24. Developing analysis and management tools on investor’s participation in new issues
25. Populate and maintain Access Middle Office databases and develop efficiency initiatives.
26. Produce and maintain transaction specific reporting tools

Summary
The Operations team is responsible for all Back Office and Middle office processes and controls, as set out as being responsible for the administration of all the databases for all the transactions of the London Branch: EMTN, USMTN, Samurai, Covered Bonds on the global capital markets Loans and Borrowings with Subsidiaries and Treasury activity, including derivatives.
Your role will be to facilitate and to smoothen the processing of all Back Office and Middle office processes and controls, as set out below. You will monitor the transactions, process the different events of the trade lifecycles, liaise with the different French counterparties for settlement issues, control the proper hedging of the transactions, monitor the interest rate gap and liquidity gap, and provide accurate information to Senior Management. You will also be responsible for maintaining adequate procedures for the relevant area. You will develop various skills and knowledge in financial products such as Bonds, Loans and Interest Rate Cross Currency Swaps and you will gain exposure to regulatory reporting.

27. Ensuring adherence with regard to internal Credit Agricole S.A. Group compliance guidelines and governing agency rules and regulations.

Academic qualification / Speciality
A bachelors degree within a relevant discipline.
Experience
30. Previous experience within a middle or back office position within an investment banking or similar environment
