An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Counter Terrorism Policing South East (CTPSE) within the Research and Analysis team as an Intelligence Development Officer (IDO), based in Folkestone. The Research and Analysis team produces high‑quality research and analytical products to support all aspects of CTPSE business.
Key Responsibilities
* Research using a range of systems including open‑source platforms.
* Collate and assess intelligence, presenting findings in clear, concise and accurate intelligence products.
* Identify intelligence gaps and provide specific, achievable and relevant recommendations.
* Conduct research compliant with legislation, such as the IPA.
* Support live operational activity and liaise with internal and external colleagues, including senior investigating officers, to progress investigations into CT subjects of interest.
* Work in partnership with teams throughout Counter Terrorism Policing and the wider intelligence community.
* Support and respond to spontaneous, critical or major incidents and/or events within the remit of policing.
Key Requirements
* Good team player with relevant experience in an intelligence environment.
* British National, having resided in the UK for the past ten years.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Must pass and maintain DV‑level vetting plus enhanced security checks.
* Flexibility regarding working hours; may need to work unsocial hours, including overtime, and be available for 7‑day patterns, 07:00‑23:00.
* Ability to travel across the South East region.
