Overview
The Trust is seeking a consultant psychiatrist for the South West Merton Integrated Recovery Hub. This established post has arisen following the resignation of the substantive postholder. The postholder will provide medical and clinical leadership to the South West Merton Integrated Recovery Hub (IRH) within Adult Mental Health Services for Merton.
The South West Merton IRH (with internal GP alignment) is one of three IRHs in the London Borough of Merton, alongside the North East Merton IRH. Other local services include a Merton Primary Care Liaison Service (single point of access for community referrals), a Merton Home Treatment Team, Early Intervention in Psychosis services (Sutton and Merton EIS), and a Complex Needs Service for Personality Disorder (Sutton and Merton CNS). The Trust also runs Merton Talking Therapies (IAPT and wellbeing services for mild/moderate mental health difficulties).
The post will be managerially/operationally accountable to the Clinical Director for the Community (adult) Service Line and responsible to the Associate Clinical Director for the borough.
Responsibilities
* Provide medical and clinical leadership to the South West Merton Integrated Recovery Hub and participate in the Trust-wide clinical governance framework.
* Work within the Adult Mental Health Services for Merton, contributing to service development and improvement, with a focus on complex and enduring needs in collaboration with related community teams and services.
* Maintain professional registration and achieve or hold Section 12 (2) approval of the Mental Health Act and Approved Clinician status (or eligibility).
Qualifications
* Consultant psychiatrist with appropriate registration and regulatory approvals (Section 12(2) approval and Approved Clinician status or eligibility).
