About Your Opportunity:

The Commercial Officer operating in our Commercial team will be responsible for the day-to-day commercial and contract management activities across NGUK’s Defence & National Security customers, working on existing contracts and proposals for programmes spanning multiple sectors, including Maritime, Aerospace, and Cyber.
Responsibilities:
* Lead day-to-day contract management and administration activities for multi-million pound contracts.
* Preparation for negotiation of contracts terms, licence terms, scope, and pricing, recognising the risk trade-off, working closely with the relevant Commercial team members, Programme Manager, Business Development Manager, Finance Team, and Supply Chain Lead.
* Manage the legal review of contract terms and conditions.
* Work with the wider Commercial team on higher value, complexity, and strategically significant proposals and negotiations.
Your Future Team:
* Join a dedicated, supportive commercial function responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of Contracts, which range from Submarine systems development to Cyber & Intelligence solutions.
* Integrate with Delivery teams to enable the successful execution of programmes of national importance.
* Build lasting relationships with Customers promoting collaborative best practice.
* Be part of a wider Business Management organisation, working closely with Finance, Supply Chain, Trade Compliance, and Project Controls to maximise Business performance.

We are looking for:
* Previous Commercial experience, with strong organisational skills.
* Excellent people and communication skills, with a strong focus on customer service.
* Proactive, organised individual, able to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
* Relevant degree (such as Law, Business, Economics) or some industry experience desirable.
Security clearance:
You must be able to gain and maintain the relevant UK Government security clearance in line with the job role (SC). Our requirement team is on hand to answer any questions and we will guide you through the process.
