Are you an experienced Geotechnical Engineer ready to take the next step in your career? We are looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join a growing Ipswich office and play a leading role in delivering a diverse portfolio of geotechnical and geoenvironmental projects across the UK.

The Role

As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for:

* Managing geotechnical projects from inception through to completion
* Designing and supervising ground investigations
* Interpreting geotechnical data and producing high:quality technical reports
* Undertaking foundation, retaining wall, slope stability, and earthworks assessments
* Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and engineering geologists
* Liaising directly with clients, contractors, and stakeholders
* Preparing fee proposals and supporting business development activities
* Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest technical standards

Requirements

* Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology, or a related discipline
* Typically 5+ years experience within a geotechnical consultancy environment
* Strong understanding of UK geotechnical design standards and ground investigation practices
* Experience managing projects and client relationships
* Proficiency in geotechnical design software would be advantageous
* Excellent technical reporting and communication skills
* Working towards or holding Chartered status (ICE or Geological Society) would be beneficial
* Full UK driving licence
