Fleet Logistics Assistant
Contract type: Permanent, Full time
Hours: Monday-Friday 8.30am - 5pm
Salary: £12.21 per hour
Here at Colchester Volvo we are seeking a highly organised and proactive Fleet Logistics Assistant to join our growing team. This is a new role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of our dealership, supporting logistics, and maintaining compliance with company and legal standards.
Responsibilities include:
1. Coordinating the day-to-day scheduling and movement of fleet vehicles
2. Supporting drivers with documentation, route planning, and operational queries
3. Monitoring vehicle usage, mileage, and fuel consumption
4. Assisting with maintenance scheduling and liaising with service providers
5. Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and legal requirements
6. Maintaining accurate records and producing regular reports for management
We are looking for someone with strong organisational and communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. A clean driving licence is required, and experience with larger vehicles or previous work in logistics or fleet administration will be an advantage.
