Are you a Maths graduate keen to share your skills and explore a career in education? Secondary schools across Newcastle are looking for enthusiastic graduates to support students in lessons, boost confidence in numeracy, and even gain experience as a Cover Supervisor.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Supporting Maths lessons, helping students grasp key concepts
2. Providing 1:1 or small group intervention to raise attainment
3. Supervising classes and delivering pre-set work when teachers are absent
4. Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to support learning and progress
What we’re looking for:
5. A recent graduate with a degree in Mathematics (or related subject)
6. Strong subject knowledge and problem-solving skills
7. Confidence, communication, and a positive approach to working with young people
8. Patience, adaptability, and a genuine interest in education
