About the Role
We’re on the lookout for a passionate, detail-driven, proactive Quality Coordinator to join our Operations squad at Butternut Box. In this pivotal role, you’ll help deliver safe, high‑quality meals that bring tails wagging. You’ll work closely with production, technical, and compliance teams, championing processes that keep our food safety, hygiene, and environmental standards top‑notch. This is a very hands‑on role that calls for plenty of energy, enthusiasm, and a “roll up your sleeves” attitude.
Position Details

* Employment type: Full‑time, Monday to Friday, on‑site

Responsibilities
* Support the day‑to‑day management and improvement of our digital Integrated Management System for Food Safety, H&S and Environment.
* Coordinate customer complaints from receipt through to investigation and response.
* Coordinate export processes and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality requirements.
* Provide data inputs for preparation of department KPIs.
* Coordinate and report on nutritional and microbiological testing, collect water samples, and carry out equipment verifications.
* Organise and lead food taste panels.
* Coordinate corrective action investigations across the site.
* Manage stock control, including inventory monitoring and documentation accuracy.
* Provide weekly and monthly data reporting, supporting the preparation of department KPIs.
About You
* Confident with computers and digital tools – especially spreadsheets and data management systems.
* Previous experience or strong interest in quality, compliance, or food safety roles within FMCG/manufacturing.
* Experience coordinating testing and verification programmes (e.g. nutritional, microbiological).
* Strong ability to learn quickly and adapt to new systems and processes.
* Experience managing or supporting processes across food safety, hygiene, environmental, and compliance functions.
* Able to handle customer complaints professionally from initial receipt through to investigation and response.
* Hungry for a challenge and keen to build something from the ground up.
* Experience managing stock control and maintaining accurate records.
* Pragmatic, adaptable, and resilient – you stay calm and solutions‑focused even when things get busy.
* Loves dogs and cats.
