Role: Pre-Delivery Inspection Engineer

Hours: Monday Friday
Salary: up to£40,000 per annum
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform thorough inspections of finished vehicles, ensuring all checks follow company-defined procedures.
* Confirm that vehicles meet the exact technical and specification requirements outlined by the customer.
* Log and escalate any defects or non-conformities, ensuring they are resolved before handover.
* Contribute to inspection standards by supporting ongoing process reviews and improvements.
* Accurately document quality issues and assist with data analysis to help prevent future faults.
* Collaborate with the wider workshop team, offering mechanical expertise when needed.
* Travel to various company sites to conduct inspections and support compliance activities.
* Promote and adhere to health & safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment at all times.
What Were Looking For:
* Solid understanding of mechanical systems across both heavy and light vehicles.
* Practical experience working on HGVs, including hydraulic system knowledge.
* Recognised mechanical qualifications (e.g., time-served apprenticeship or equivalent).
* HGV driving licence is essential for travel and vehicle operation.
* Comfortable working to targets and timescales within a team setting.
* Adaptable, with a hands-on approach and a proactive mindset.
* Understanding of specialist vehicle builds and configurations (desirable).
* Background in inspecting waste collection or specialist utility vehicles is an advantage.
* Knowledge of vehicle inspections or MOT standards is beneficial
