Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a supportive school in Wolverhampton on a full-time basis. This is a rewarding opportunity for a confident and proactive individual to support teaching and learning across the classroom, helping pupils achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the planning and delivery of lessons across a range of subjects
* Lead whole-class teaching sessions in the absence of the class teacher
* Work with small groups or individual pupils to provide targeted support
* Assist in assessing pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
* Support pupils with additional needs, including SEN, where required
* Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
* Prepare learning materials and classroom resources
* Promote positive behaviour and uphold school policies
Requirements
* HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
* Previous experience working in a school setting (primary or secondary)
* Strong understanding of the UK curriculum
* Experience supporting pupils with a range of abilities, including SEN
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
