Job Title: Civil & Structural CAD Technician
Location: Manchester or Teesside, with the flexibility of remote working

About the Company
Our client is a leading design and build contractor. They are renowned for their commitment to excellence and innovation in the infrastructure and pipeline sectors. They are currently looking for a Civil & Structural CAD Technician on a 6 month contract. This is a hybrid working role with offices in Teesside and Manchester.
The Role – Civil and Structural CAD Technician
As a Civil & Structural CAD Technician, you will play a crucial role in producing high-quality 2D and 3D design deliverables for major infrastructure and pipeline projects. You will work closely with engineers across civil and structural disciplines to ensure the successful execution of projects.
Key responsibilities for the CAD Technician include:
• Produce 2D/3D designs, technical drawings, and models for pipeline and infrastructure works.
• Coordinate design across disciplines using a Common Data Environment (CDE).
• Participate in clash detection and construction sequencing (4D simulation).
About You – Civil and Structural CAD Technician
You may be a good fit if you are proficient in Aveva E3D, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Civil 3D, with a strong background in designing below-ground infrastructure, foundations, steelwork, and reinforced concrete.
You will ideally have:
• Qualified to City & Guilds or HNC/HND level.
• EngTech or IEng ICE professional qualification is an advantage.
• Experience with 4D simulation, construction sequencing, and clash detection software is beneficial.
