Job Title: Pipefitter Location: Glasgow – Govan and Scotstoun – Based on site and must be able to attend a recruitment day in Glasgow Salary: £37,318.00 (additional shift allowance of 33% may be applicable) Requirements: Trade Papers to be provided when submitting application What you’ll be doing: * Fabricating and installing pipework systems in large and small-bore pipework using different materials (copper, cuni, carbon steel and stainless steel) * Using a range of hand tools & mechanical equipment to cut, bend and weld pipes as well as installation of pipework. * Installing utilities aboard ship i.e. sinks, showers, and toilets * Install and assemble fittings, valves, and related components according to drawings and specifications. * Collaborate with other trades to ensure the timely and accurate completion of projects. * Adhere to safety regulations and company procedures at all times * Maintain accurate records of work carried out Your skills and experiences: Essential : * Modern Apprenticeship certificate/Trade Papers (you will be required to provide these papers) and relevant qualifications (e.g., SVQ3, City & Guilds, or equivalent) * Current knowledge and experience of pipe manufacture, installation, and use of associated equipment * Strong knowledge of pipefitting techniques, tools, and safety standards * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications * Clear understanding of SHE, COSHH and Risk Assessments * Proven experience as a Pipefitter or similar within an industrial or commercial environment Desirable : * Marine Pipefitting Experience * Experience in industrial or commercial settings preferred * Understanding of manufacturing processes * Experience in TIG Pipe Welding Please ensure you have attached a copy of your qualifications when submitting your application Benefits: As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts – you may also be eligible for an annual incentive.
