We are partnering with a leading energy business to recruit an Interim Financial Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional to support a fast-paced finance function during a period of business change and growth.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, supporting month-end and year-end processes, and assisting with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Lead month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
- Support statutory accounts preparation and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting.
- Provide financial analysis and insight to support business decision-making.
- Support process improvement initiatives within the finance function.
- Liaise with key stakeholders across finance and operational teams.
- Assist with ad hoc finance projects as required.
Candidate Requirements
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a Financial Accountant role within a complex organisation.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and financial reporting experience.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
