Purpose
The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations of the company's warehouse, ensuring that materials and finished products are received, stored, and shipped efficiently and safely. This role is responsible for supervising and directing warehouse workers, ensuring that they adhere to safety regulations and work instructions, while also identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and employee engagement. Key Responsibilities
* Manage warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving, and ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
* Oversee a team of warehouse workers, ensuring that they adhere to safety regulations and work instructions.
* Multitask in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and anticipating new challenges.
* Develop and maintain relationships with other departments, such as production and logistics, to ensure seamless warehouse operations.
* Ensure that products are received, stored, and shipped with the highest quality standards, and that they meet customer specifications.
* Monitor warehouse metrics and key performance indicators, and provide regular updates to management.
* Conduct performance evaluations of warehouse workers, providing feedback and coaching as needed.
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment, and ensure that all equipment is in good working condition.
* Use a "hands on" management style to lead the warehouse team to meet daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
* Utilize shipping and receiving experience, including UPS, FedEx, DHL small parcel, and freight shipments.
* Lead the team to success by prioritizing tasks and anticipating new challenges.
Qualifications
* 3+ years of experience in a warehouse environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
* Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse processes and equipment.
* Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and engage warehouse workers.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with other departments and provide clear direction to warehouse workers.
* Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
* Experience with continuous improvement methodologies, such as lean manufacturing or Six Sigma.
* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
* Forklift certified.
