As one of the largest electro mechanical repair companies in the UK, Rubix Engineering Services brings together specialist engineers from across the UK to offer complete, comprehensive, fully quality assured engineering services nationwide, supported by parts provided by the industryâs most well-known brands - 24/7/365.\nRubix Engineering Services makes it even easier for you to access the engineering expertise and solutions you need, all in one place, from Europeâs number one multi-specialist supplier of industrial products, services and solutions.\nOur time-served experts provide you with the specialist knowledge, expertise and solutions specific to your requirements, whatever your industry.\n\n\n The opportunity to earn as you learn, through a combination of college study and hands-on, practical learning & experience at our facility in Uddingston as a Mechanical Engineer\nThe opportunity to achieve Engineering qualifications to SVQ Level 5 Performing Engineering Operations & NC in Engineering Discipline provided by our training provider EKGTA in the first year. \nYears 2-4 the opportunity to continue your training on site and to complete an SCQF Level 7 in Diploma in Engineering \n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nCore Duties (under supervision)\nâ¢\tAssist skilled technicians with dismantling, inspection, repair, and reassembly of equipment.\nâ¢\tCarry out basic engineering tasks such as cleaning, preparing components, packing, and simple assembly.\nâ¢\tOperate hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment only after training and under guidance.\nâ¢\tMaintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace.\nâ¢\tFollow instructions carefully from mentors, supervisors, and colleagues.\nâ¢\tLearn to record work carried out and complete job documentation.\nâ¢\tAdhere to company health & safety requirements at all times.\n\nTraining & Development\nâ¢\tParticipate fully in the structured apprenticeship programme, attending training sessions, college courses, and assessments as required.\nâ¢\tDevelop a practical understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles.\nâ¢\tGain skills in reading engineering drawings, using measuring tools, and operating machinery.\nâ¢\tProgress towards independently carrying out simple engineering repairs and tasks.\nâ¢\tBuild knowledge of pumps, motors, gearboxes, compressors, and other rotating equipment.\nâ¢\tDemonstrate continuous improvement in technical ability, safety awareness, and teamwork. In order to apply for an apprenticeship you will need to have achieved school grades that include the following at National 5C or above:\n- Maths\n- English\n- 2 technical/science subjects
