Accounts Manager / Senior Bookkeeper

We are seeking a highly organised and experienced Accounts professional to take responsibility for the smooth running of our Finance Department. This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys managing a broad range of accounting and financial tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department, reporting directly to the Directors
Prepare year-end accounts up to trial balance
Maintain personal account records and liaise with external accountants for self-assessments
Produce quarterly management accounts
Maintain loan and mortgage schedules, ensuring payments are made on time
Keep up-to-date schedules of assets and liabilities
Manage company and personal ledgers using Sage
Process Jupix rental reports and post journals to Sage
Oversee sales and purchase ledgers
Manage banking relationships and reporting
Submit quarterly rental schedules to banks
Complete bank reconciliations across multiple companies
Maintain and update direct debits and standing orders
Run payment batches and reconcile credit cards
Check, record and process contractor invoices for property projects
Manage monthly payroll, including timesheet verification
Complete monthly and annual pension submissions (including Teachers' Pensions and Auto Enrolment)
Submit PAYE returns and make HMRC payments
Administer property service charges and ground rents
Complete online business surveys as required
Prepare and submit VAT returns
General filing and ad-hoc duties
