Job Description

Are you an outstanding HR professional with a passion for delivering high quality care? Cygnet have been providing a national network of specialist mental health services for more than 30 years. With us, you'll have the chance to progress your career as part of a dynamic, supportive team. We need an HR Business Partner to join our team on a full time, 40hrs per week basis. This is an autonomous role with the requirement to travel to services in line with business need. It is anticipated that the post holder will be on site at least 3 days per week. The Role

You will cover seven services within the South West of England. You will report to the HRM for Healthcare and will work closely with the operations teams in the regions in which you support to drive the people agenda.

The HRBP is the go‑to person for employee‑related issues. Duties include managing activities such as employee relations, change management, recruitment, retention, job design, performance management, training & development and talent management. You will also be involved with HR projects. The HRBP’s role supports initiatives working towards a positive culture and a productive workplace, promoting corporate values.


Person Specification

* Proven relevant HR generalist experience of three to five years, with a strong background in employee relations.
* Exceptional organisational and communication skills, proven leadership capabilities and solid knowledge of employment legislation and its application.
* HRBPs should be proactive team players with strong customer service and problem‑solving skills.
* Experienced in developing and supporting line managers through change, including restructures, redundancy processes and new site / service openings.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion and diplomacy.
* Self‑motivated and able to work under own autonomy or as part of a team.


Qualifications and Experience

* CIPD level 5 or above or at least 3 years’ relevant experience in an HR regional role.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
* Ideally previous experience in a healthcare setting (not essential).
* Understanding of safeguarding, CQC regulations regarding employment, or willingness to learn.

Please note: successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
